The Battle for Reese: Paul Rudd and Owen Wilson are in talks to play Reese Witherspoon's love interests in James L. Brooks's tentatively titled How Do You Know? Details are scarce outside of it being your basic love-triangle setup, with Rudd playing a white-collar executive and Wilson a professional baseball pitcher. Fingers crossed this one turns out better than Spanglish.

Paul Rudd and Owen Wilson in James L. Brooks' Latest

After a handful of rumors regarding James L. Brooks' latest film, we finally have some confirmed details. Brooks is directing a project tentatively titled How Do You Know? for Columbia Pictures. Owen Wilson and Paul Rudd are in talks to star opposite Reese Witherspoon in what is being called a romantic comedy with a love triangle. Rudd would play a white-collar executive vying for Witherspoon's affections, while Wilson would play a professional baseball pitcher who is also a love interest. Brooks last directed Spanglish in 2004 as well as As Good as It Gets, Broadcast News, and Terms of Endearment before that.

Sony / Columbia is looking to get production started in the summer for release in 2010. Not only is Brooks directing, but he wrote the screenplay and is producing. As much as we'd love to see Paul Rudd starring in this (I know I want to), he's not entirely confirmed, as he's currently stuck in a scheduling conflict between this and DreamWorks' Dinner for Schmucks. We'll have to wait and see if he works out his schedule, and I definitely hope he does, because Rudd and Wilson would be great competing against each other. The two were in the first Night at the Museum together, but not with very big roles. Anyone interested?

嚴格來說，本劇應該是第三次合作。
因為今年他們還合作了動畫片《Monsters vs. Aliens》的配音。
是因為這個機緣才導致本次的合作嗎??

話說Paul & Reese的第一次合作是1998年的《Overnight Delivery 愛情快遞》，
當時他們二人都還是在YA影片中掙扎的新人。
如今，Resse是票房巨星斯啦虛奧斯卡影后，地位尊貴的不得了！
然後，Paul雖然不談不上大紅大紫，但好歹也小有名氣。
誰敢說配不上，試試看！

我好像忽略了Owen Wilson的存在厚！
以知名度來說，他應該才是男一號吧！而且現在《馬利與我》那麼紅。

如果Paul演可憐人，我就更傷心了啦！真難為。
